Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Distribution Work Planner to support outdoor vegetation management. You will drive to sites, hike ROWs, document vegetation work, and ensure compliance with utility specifications while maintaining safety and quality.

The role requires outdoor work, data entry on field devices, and collaboration with leadership and contractors. Training and certifications are available.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tree species identification, hazard tree assessment, and invasive species management.
• Ability to hike rights-of-way (ROW) and drive long hours.
• Knowledge of Utility Vegetation Management practices.
• Experience with GIS software and Microsoft Suite and an iPhone.
• Able to work outdoors in varied weather and terrains.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, problem solving and multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions.
• Follow AMS safety standards, including safe driving, wildfire prevention, and injury prevention protocols.
• Safely drive to work sites and hike rights-of-way (up to 10 miles/day).
• Inspect and document vegetation work at customer properties.
• Plan aerial saw work and audit tree contractor's work for utility specs.
• Record vegetation data using tablets and specialized software.
