Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Work Planner to join our outdoor team. The role emphasizes safety, field operations, and efficient vegetation management for utility corridors. You will contribute to a culture of safety while delivering value to our clients.

Responsibilities include driving to sites, inspecting vegetation, recording data with tablets, and coordinating with clients. GIS experience and strong communication are essential, with endurance for field work in varied conditions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tree species identification and hazard assessment.
• Experience with GIS software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work alone outdoors in varying weather and terrain.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Utility Vegetation Management practices.
• Able to hike ROWs and drive for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Drive to work sites safely and hike rights-of-way up to 10 miles/day.
• Inspect and document vegetation work at customer properties.
• Record vegetation data using tablets and specialized software.
• Use forestry computer systems for data entry and tracking.
• Address customer concerns and maintain professional relations.
• Participate in storm and emergency response duties as needed.
