Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Work Planner to join its vegetation management team. This role involves outdoor field work, data collection, and coordinating with customers in a fast-paced environment.

You will safely inspect sites, document vegetation tasks, and use tablets and GIS-enabled tools to track progress while collaborating with leadership and field crews. This position emphasizes safety, adaptability, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of UVM or related field work experience.
• Knowledge of tree species identification and hazard tree assessment.
• Ability to hike ROWs and drive for extended periods.
• Experience with GIS software and Microsoft Office; iPhone.
• Must be able to work alone outdoors in various weather and terrain.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong problem solving.
• Adaptable to change.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Follow safety standards and drive safely in field.
• Promote AMS values in daily actions.
• Safely drive to work sites and hike ROWs up to 10 miles/day.
• Inspect and document vegetation work at customer properties.
• Record vegetation data using tablets and specialized software.
• Use forestry computer systems for data entry and tracking.
• Address customer concerns and maintain positive relations.
• Communicate with leadership, auditors, clients, and the public.
• Participate in storm and emergency response duties as needed.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
