Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Distribution Work Planner to join our vegetation management team. This role involves outdoor field work, data collection with tablets and specialized software, and coordinating with utility stakeholders.

You will inspect rights-of-way, plan necessary vegetation treatments, and ensure safety protocols are followed. The position requires the ability to hike long distances, work independently in varied weather, and travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tree species identification and hazard assessment.
• Ability to hike/ walk Right-of-Ways and drive long hours.
• Knowledge of Utility Vegetation Management practices.
• Experience with GIS software and technology as well as Microsoft Office and an iPhone.
• Able to work alone outdoors in various weather and terrain.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Compliance: Identify and report hazards; follow safety standards and promote AMS values.
• Field Operations: Drive to sites, hike ROWs up to 10 miles/day, inspect vegetation work, plan aerial saw work, and record data.
• Customer & Stakeholder Relations: Address concerns; communicate with leadership, auditors, clients, contractors, landowners, and the public.
• Emergency Response & Other Responsibilities: Participate in storm response; carry out additional duties as assigned.
