Texas Department of Transportation Amarillo District is seeking Transportation Maintenance Tech I/II/III. The role involves outdoor work maintaining roadways, operating equipment, and ensuring traffic control and safety.
Hours typically 40 per week with potential nights and weekends; onsite duties in Amarillo, TX. Minimum qualifications include CDL and varying experience levels (I: none, II: 1 year, III: 2 years).
Competenze
- TMT I = No experience required
- TMT II = 1 year experience
- TMT III = 2 years experience
- Experience in transportation engineering support, roadway maintenance, construction inspection, heavy equipment operation, or related work experience.
- Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications with related education or training may apply.
Mansioni
- Performs routine transportation operations or maintenance support work such as roadway maintenance and repair, traffic control, and assisting the public during emergencies.
- Operates light equipment (front-end loader, pneumatic roller, street sweeper, etc.) and completes PMI and required reports.
- Inspects and maintains traffic control devices, installations, and signage; assists with safety compliance.
- May lead crews on projects and train other employees as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned.
