Job summary

Texas Department of Transportation's Fort Worth District is seeking two Transportation Maintenance Tech I or II for Special Maintenance. The roles involve outdoor work, safety-focused duties, and opportunities to grow within the agency. Training, tools, and uniforms are provided, with CDL training available.

Job locations include Fort Worth, with salary ranges shown for TMT I and II. This full-time position requires teamwork, reliability, and readiness to work varied hours and conditions.

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license at time of application.
CDL class A with N endorsement required for TMT II within 120 days.
Experience in highway/roadway maintenance or related fields is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in maintaining highways and rights-of-way; install traffic signs and posts.
Provide support to traffic control, place cones and barricades, and flag traffic.
Operate light to heavy equipment as assigned.
Perform PMI and routine servicing on equipment and complete required reports.
Assist with inspections of maintenance work and materials to standards.
