Qualifications

• Some knowledge of maintenance concepts, methods, policies, and requirements.
• Some Skill in using applicable hand and power tools, equipment, and mechanical devices of the trade.
• Some ability to operate light and heavy highway equipment.

Responsabilités

• Assists in providing support to local law enforcement at accident sites.
• Assists with traffic control; places and gathers cones, signs, barricades; flags traffic.
• Maintains highways and rights-of-way; performs roadway repairs; erects and repairs guard rails, markers and signs; hauls materials and equipment to job sites.
• Operates light equipment such as a front-end loader, pneumatic roller, rotary broom, spreader box, backhoe, street sweeper, and mower.
• Operates heavy equipment such as a front-end loader, tractor-trailer haul truck, large dragline, shovel, paint striper, and dump truck.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.
