Job summary

Texas Department of Transportation’s San Angelo District is seeking Transportation Maintenance Tech I or II (highway maintenance worker) based in Junction Maintenance Office. This role covers 872 miles of Interstate, US and state highways and farm-to-market roads, performing maintenance, inspections, and emergency response.

TxDOT offers CDL training with lodging, transportation and per-diem if needed. Salary ranges shown: Tech I: 3,409.83–5,094.16 monthly; Tech II: 3,581.33–5,372.41 monthly.

Qualifications

• No education required.
• Experience at TMT I or II as specified.

Responsibilities

• Assist with traffic control and setup of cones/signs.
• Operate light and some heavy equipment as needed.
• Perform PMI and routine maintenance documentation.
• Support local law enforcement at accident sites and assist motorists.
