Job summary

The Pond Guy in Armada, MI is seeking a Facilities & Field Maintenance Technician to join our Service Department. This full-time role balances field service at customer locations with maintenance of our facilities, grounds, and equipment.

Responsibilities include installing and repairing pond and aeration systems, coordinating service routes, and communicating with customers. A strong mechanical background and safety focus are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of technical, mechanical, facility, or equipment maintenance experience.
• 2–3 years of customer service experience recommended; sales experience is a plus.
• Basic to intermediate electrical knowledge; high-voltage exposure is a plus.
• Proficient with service software and basic office programs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have a valid Michigan Driver’s License with clean record; Chauffer’s license and DOT card may be required.

Responsibilities

• Complete service calls at customer locations and assist with installations of fountain and aeration systems.
• Schedule and coordinate daily service routes; communicate with staff to optimize assignments.
• Communicate with customers about status, maintenance needs, and solutions.
• Document service notes, work orders, and inventory used; report trends to management.
• Follow safety procedures for product use, installation, and electrical work.
• Support facility, shop, and grounds maintenance; assist with inspections.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external providers for facility repairs.
