We’re looking for a Facilities & Field Maintenance Technician to join our Service Department in a stable, year‑round position that combines hands‑on field service with facility maintenance. This position works directly with customers at their locations to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fountain and aeration systems while also supporting the maintenance and upkeep of The Pond Guy’s facilities, grounds, and equipment.

The Facilities & Field Maintenance Technician plays a key role within our Service Department, balancing customer‑facing field service with the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of company facilities, grounds, and equipment. This position completes service calls and installations at customer locations, troubleshoots equipment and system issues, and helps coordinate field service activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to The Pond Guy’s service standards.
When not working at customer locations, this role supports facility operations through preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and general upkeep. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, leadership, and a customer‑focused mindset.

Because this position performs work at The Pond Guy facilities as well as customer locations, the physical requirements apply to facility, shop, outdoor, and field‑service environments. This position also requires the ability to swim, perform repetitive motions for extended periods; demonstrate manual dexterity when working with small components; frequently bend, stoop, and stand for long durations; lift, lower, and carry packages typically weighing 25–50 lbs; and handle packages up to 150 lbs with assistance. In the field, expect adverse weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, etc. for portions of the position that may be completed in these circumstances.

While this is a year‑round position, during the months of April through September, there will be extended work schedules, and you must be available to work between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. This equates to an average of 40-50 hours per week. During peak season, there are little to no Saturday shifts. The remaining months will have a Monday‑Friday schedule.
