Job summary

The Pond Guy, a leading maker and distributor of pond and water-garden products, seeks an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join the Service Department. You will diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical systems in the shop and at customer sites, ensuring safety and reliability of fountain and aeration equipment.

You will work both indoors and outdoors, perform preventative maintenance, and help with installations, serving a nationwide network of dealers and end users.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of technical or mechanical maintenance experience, including hands‑on troubleshooting and repair.
• 2-3 years of customer service experience recommended.
• Valid Michigan Driver's License with clean driving record; ability to obtain Chauffer's license and DOT card.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to use service software and office programs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical components of fountain, aeration, and related pond equipment.
• Complete service calls at customer locations, outdoors, and assist with installations.
• Use testing equipment to identify failures and verify proper operation after repairs.
• Document service findings and communicate with customers and team members.
• Follow safety procedures and assist with shop and field inspections; cross‑train as needed.
