Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. is seeking Field Data Technicians in Tennessee. This outdoor role requires hiking between spans of utility poles to collect data for engineering projects and fiber optics.

Training is provided; position involves routine overnight travel 1–2 weeks away from home, with weekends at home. The role starts at $24.50/hour with potential hourly bonuses, weekly pay, hotel allowances, travel reimbursement, and contract-specific pay increases.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical background preferred.
• Basic knowledge of telecommunications or electrical distribution is a plus.
• Ability to travel and work outdoors in variable weather.
• Comfort with GPS maps and data collection procedures.
• Strong written and oral communication; professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Work in outdoor environment to collect field data for fiber optic facilities.
• Submit organized data including maps, notes, and images.
• Operate and maintain tablet, digital camera, measuring tools and PPE.
• Represent Osmose professionally in the field for customers.
• Communicate daily with project management and work safely.
