Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services, Inc. is seeking Field Data Technicians to collect detailed field data on outdoor facilities for electric and telecom projects.

The role involves hiking between poles to capture data for design and engineering and requires routine overnight travel with work-home weekends and occasional longer stays. The position offers a starting rate of $24.50/hour plus potential hourly bonuses, hotel expenses, travel allowances, and other pay increases per contract.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical background preferred.
• Basic knowledge of telecommunications and/or electrical distribution is a plus.
• Knowledge of pole design and safety practices is a plus.
• Enjoy outdoor work and be able to lift 15–20 lbs regularly.
• Proficient reading GPS maps and basic computer use.
• Willing to travel and work away from home for 1–2 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Collect field data to support engineering and fiber optic projects.
• Submit organized data including maps, field notes and images.
• Operate and maintain tablet, camera and measuring tools.
• Represent Osmose in the field and communicate with project management.
• Work safely and independently in varying weather and terrain.
