Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services is seeking Field Data Technicians to collect detailed outdoor data on electric utility and telecom facilities, often hiking between pole spans. The role involves overnight travel 1–2 weeks at a time, with occasional longer assignments.

Training will be provided to perform all duties and ensure safety in the field. The position starts at $24.50/hour with potential bonuses, living allowances, and travel reimbursements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical background preferred.
• Must have at least 1 year of outdoor work-related experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; professional appearance.
• Ability to travel, work outdoors in varying weather, and lift 15–20 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Collect field data outdoors to support engineering and design of fiber facilities.
• Submit organized data, maps, notes and images for each project.
• Operate and maintain tablet, camera and measuring tools.
• Represent Osmose professionally in the field and communicate with project teams.
• Follow safety protocols and job instructions in a high-speed, high-quality environment.
• Travel overnight occasionally as required.
