Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Warehouse Outbound Supervisor for the 2nd shift in Portland, OR. You will supervise a team of outbound associates, oversee pick/pack/ship processes, and ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced distribution environment.

You will monitor productivity, coach staff, and collaborate with HR to address staffing and performance. A strong background in Excel and ERP systems will support daily operations and reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; Bachelor’s degree a plus.
• 2-3 years related experience preferred.
• Experience with continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous experience leading a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables/spreadsheets).
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Manhattan preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage a team of outbound associates to ensure timely pick, pack, and ship operations.
• Monitor productivity standards and hold staff accountable to daily/weekly/monthly metrics.
• Adhere to budgetary guidelines and meet DC objectives while maintaining quality and inventory standards.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Gemba walks, Kaizen, takt boards).
• Schedule daily workforce to optimize staffing for shipping activities.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and drive preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Develop staff through training, coaching, and performance appraisals.
• Maintain accurate timekeeping and attendance records.
