Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Manager, Warehouse Operations (Outbound) to oversee outbound processing, including releases, picking, staging, and loading of customer orders on a 2nd shift. You will lead a team of supervisors and support staff to meet daily commitments and sustain safe, efficient operations.

The role requires coordinating with Sales and Customer Service to address issues, managing staffing and training, and driving continuous improvement across procedures and performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily outbound processing operations including releasing, picking, staging, and loading of all customer orders. Leading a supervisory staff consisting of five direct report supervisors.
• Ensures operations are in compliance with the business unit’s standard operating procedures and implements operational changes from the Site Director.
• Directs people management processes for the warehouse, including staffing, training and development, and talent management for 60-90 hourly and salaried teammates.
• Recognizes employees’ diverse skillsets and levels of experience, provides motivational leadership and champions a culture of high performance, learning, and safety.
• Responds to disruptions in outbound processing and ensures that customer commitments are fulfilled.
• Communicates with Sales and Customer Service teams to understand customer concerns and adjusts operations accordingly.
• Manages safety trainings and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
• Monitors performance and productivity metrics and reports on outcomes to Site Director.
