Job summary

Cockroach Labs is seeking a Sales Development Representative to help build the top of the sales funnel and set up opportunities for our sales team. You will reach the right people at the right companies and excel in high-energy environments with outbound prospecting across segments.

You will develop fluency in CockroachDB, collaborate with AEs, and strive to generate qualified pipeline while meeting quarterly targets. This hybrid role offers office presence and remote work flexibility.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of lead generation or sales development experience.
• Ability to collaborate and build positive business relationships.
• Experience meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks.
• Experience gathering and using data to persuade others.
• Developed strategies to meet targets.
• Familiarity with CRM tools and lead qualification apps.
• AI tools integrated into daily workflow to improve speed and quality.
• Fluency with AI across core tasks as a default.
• Ability to iterate on prompts, tools, and workflows.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent in related field.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute a multi-channel outbound strategy.
• Research and prioritize target accounts weekly using intent signals and engagement data.
• Leverage AI-assisted workflows to prospect at scale.
• Own early-stage discovery - lead qualification calls with relevant personas and surface business pain.
• Partner with AEs to ensure detailed handoffs with context.
• Build real technical fluency in CockroachDB.
• Hit quarterly qualified opportunity targets.
