Job summary

USA GPC Genuine Parts Company seeks an Outbound Operations Supervisor to lead pulling and outbound shipping, designing efficient methods for the team to follow and ensuring safe, high‑quality, timely operations. The role reports to the Outbound Operations Manager and emphasizes engagement, empowerment, and problem‑solving.

You will supervise yard and loading activities, enforce safety rules, manage budgets, and mentor warehouse staff to drive cost savings and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1+ years’ experience within a distribution center or similar environment.
• Ability to comply with safety requirements and DC safety guidelines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build cooperative relationships.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and good judgment.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Must be capable of lifting/moving up to 60 lbs and be forklift/pallet jack certified.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and implement efficient outbound operations, instructing employees and monitoring progress.
• Design and maintain organization of yard operations, trailers, housekeeping, and safety.
• Drive adherence to safety rules and procedures for pulling, sorting, and loading.
• Monitor budgets, enforce cost-saving initiatives, and pursue process improvements.
• Lead warehouse associates, promote engagement, and empower problem-solving.
• Investigate shipping errors with DC management to prevent recurrences.
• Schedule team hours for peak periods and ensure coverage.
• Protect assets and ensure proper receipt validation during loading.
• Lead efficient methods for processing outbound orders and special requests.
• Identify opportunities for cost reductions and operational improvements.
• Mentor team members and drive decision-making to improve performance.
