Job summary

WAI Global in Mississippi is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support the Outbound Supervisor in coordinating daily shipping-related activities. You will ensure shipments align with requirements and meet targets, while maintaining safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities include prioritizing shipments, training new associates, and tracking performance metrics. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with material handling equipment are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 4 years’ experience or an equivalent combination.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Material handling equipment experience: Pallet Jack, Forklift, Hand Truck, Reach Truck, etc.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Capable of following instructions and responding to management direction.
• Detail-oriented with ability to multitask and work in a team.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders to prioritize shipments and determine shipping methods.
• Assist in supervising outbound shipping activities for accuracy and condition of shipments.
• Help determine space requirements and optimal positioning of shipments in trucks.
• Inspect loading operations for adherence to shipping specifications.
• Inspect material handling equipment for defects or issues.
• Direct movement of shipments from shipping area to staging area.
• Maintain records of unfilled orders and prepare bills of lading.
• Support training of new associates and collect daily performance metrics.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and professionally.
• Participate in a collaborative environment and uphold 5S and safety protocols.
