Job summary

Cavender’s is hiring a supervisor to run the picking floor, ensuring accurate, timely order release and replenishment. You will train associates, coach performance, and enforce SOPs and safety standards to keep operations efficient and safe.

Your leadership will align the picking team with put-away and packing/shipping, driving productivity and accuracy in a fast-paced retail distribution environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment operations.
• Lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Understanding of picking, wave planning, and warehouse processes.
• Ability to train and manage performance in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and warehouse systems (WMS/OMS).
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and supervise the picking floor to ensure timely order release, accuracy, and replenishment.
• Train, coach, and give direct feedback to associates for growth.
• Own timely and accurate picking to support packing and shipping.
• Ensure SOPs, wave sequencing, and powered equipment safety standards are followed.
• Schedule and balance workload to meet daily wave and ship schedules.
• Validate pick accuracy against orders and catch discrepancies on time.
• Resolve floor-level picking errors and system discrepancies.
• Maintain organized pick modules, carts, and replenishment locations.
• Track productivity and provide real-time feedback to associates.
• Coordinate with put-away and packing/shipping teams to ensure smooth flow.
• Uphold safety and compliance policies and powered equipment safety.
• Report daily picking progress and issues to management.
