- Keepproductmoving accurately. Own thetimelyandaccuratepicking of orders so packing and shipping never have to wait or wonder.
- Hold the standard. Make sure picking SOPs, wave sequencing, and powered equipment (PIT) safety standards are followed on every shift, by every associate.
- Organize the shift to win. Manage scheduling, workload distribution, and shift coverage against the day's wave and shipscheduleso the team is always positioned to meet demand.
- Trust but verify. Validate pick accuracy against orders andquantities, andcatch discrepancies before they become packing or customer problems.
- Solve it on the floor. When picking errors, short picks, or system discrepancies surface, own the resolution, investigate, correct, and follow through.
- Own your space. Keep pick modules, pick carts, and replenishment locations organized, clean, and ready to run.
- Keep score. Track productivity and performance metrics daily and give associates the real-time feedback they need to stayonpace and improve.
- Connect picking to the broader operation. Stay aligned with put away and packing/shipping teams so product flows without gaps or delays.
- Reinforce a culture of safety and compliance. Support company policies and safety standards, especially powered equipment safety, with the same energy you bring to productivity — because protecting the team is part of the job.
- Report with clarity. Bring your manager a clear, honest picture of daily picking progress, issues, and performance to help leadership make good decisions fast.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment operations.
- Previousexperience in a lead or supervisory role preferred.
- Strong understanding of picking, wave planning, and warehouse processes.
- Ability to lead teams, provide training, and manage performance in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing operational needs.
- Proficiencyin Microsoft Office and warehouse systems (WMS/OMS).
- Ability toworkflexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in retail or e-commerce distribution environments.
- Familiarity with wave planning, pick-path optimization, and replenishment systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in high-volume operations.
- Experience training and onboarding new associates.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple operational teams.
