Job summary

Southeast Freight Lines is seeking a part-time PT Outbound Freight Handler in Missouri to load and unload freight, inspect trailers, and ensure safe handling using proper lifting techniques and equipment. You will weigh and dimension shipments and optimize cube usage during loading.

Responsibilities include using forklifts, checking freight bills and manifests, and documenting shortages or damage while adhering to safety protocols on a second shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must pass a background check and an alcohol/drug test.
• Prior forklift experience preferred; forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight onto and off equipment.
• Prepare, sweep, inspect and clean trailers before loading.
• Weigh and dimension shipments for proper classification and safe handling.
• Plan cube utilization and weight distribution when loading freight.
• Block and brace freight to prevent shifting during transport.
