Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is seeking a FT Inbound Freight Handler to load and unload freight, prepare trailers, and maintain safe handling practices. You will weigh/dimension shipments, review freight bills, and verify labels and hazardous material information.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED and the ability to pass background and drug testing. Prior forklift experience and certification are preferred; third shift, full-time.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to pass a background check and an alcohol/drug test.
• Prior forklift operator, dock/warehouse, or material handler experience preferred, with forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight onto and off of equipment.
• Prepare, sweep, inspect and clean trailers before loading freight.
• Use safe lifting techniques and proper equipment to move, load, and secure freight; weigh and document shipments.
• Block and brace freight to prevent shifting during transport.
