Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Background check and drug test clearance required.
• Prior experience as forklift operator, dock/warehouse worker or material handler preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight onto and off equipment.
• Prepare, sweep, inspect and clean trailers prior to loading.
• Use safe lifting techniques and appropriate equipment to move freight.
• Weigh and dimension shipments for proper classification and handling.
• Review freight bills and manifests for instructions and discrepancies, including hazardous materials when applicable.
• Block and brace freight to prevent shifting during transport.
