Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Background check and alcohol/drug test required.
• Experience as Forklift Operator, Dock or Warehouse Worker, or Material Handler preferred.
• Forklift Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight from equipment.
• Prepare, sweep, inspect, and clean trailers before loading.
• Use proper equipment (forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks) to move freight.
• Weigh and dimension shipments to ensure proper classification.
• Plan cube utilization and weight distribution when loading.
• Count and inspect freight for shortages or damage.
• Review freight bills and manifests for instructions and exceptions.
• Verify hazardous material descriptions and placarding during loading.
• Block and brace freight to prevent shifting during transport.
