Job summary

Schweitzer is hiring a Seasonal cashier to provide friendly, professional service at our lodge. You will handle payments, issue receipts, and may assist with order taking to ensure guests have a smooth experience.

Responsibilities include operating the POS system, greeting guests, and maintaining a clean station and dining areas. A positive attitude and teamwork are essential for success in this busy seasonal environment.

Position Summary

Responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently while providing friendly and professional service. Handle payments, issue receipts, and may assist with order taking, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience for guests. The cashier is often the first and last contact the guest has with our lodge.

Essential Functions And Major Responsibilities

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system (we currently use Shift4Dine) to handle cash, credit, and digital payments accurately.
• Greet customers, answer questions.
• Keep the cashier station and surrounding areas clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies and inventory.
• Maintain cleanliness of the Outback by bussing tables, emptying trash, cleaning bathrooms.
• Maintain a positive, upbeat, and energetic attitude toward guests and coworkers. Work as part of the team by assisting, communicating, and proactivity troubleshooting problems.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Shovel snow
• Other duties as assigned

Specific Job Skills

License/Certifications - Idaho Food Safety Certification and Idaho State Police Alcohol Beverage Certificate (training provided).

Technical - Computer skills

Physical Capabilities - Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Will lift up to 25lbs frequently, up to 50lbs occasionally and up to 100lbs with assistance.

Additional - Exposed to fumes, odors, mechanical and burn hazards.
