Job summary

GE Vernova's FieldCore team seeks an Outage Manager to lead end-to-end outages for Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines and Generators in India and nearby locations, owning planning, execution and performance with a relentless focus on safety and quality.

You will serve as onsite Site Lead for large outages, manage costs and risk, coordinate with Portfolio Managers, and drive continuous improvement across labour, tooling and vendor management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical field.
• 8+ years of Gas/Steam Turbine or Generator maintenance experience.
• 3+ years of specialized experience in planning and executing turbine/generator outages.
• English proficiency is mandatory.
• Gas Turbine Mechanical Field Engineer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of outage events from planning to close out.
• Site Lead for large outages ensuring safety and quality.
• Manage onsite costs and monitor productivity with SQDC focus.
• Interface between customer and internal stakeholders during outages.
• Identify opportunities to optimize processes and forecast labor and vendor needs.
• Provide emergency response for forced outages and rapid escalation.
