Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Lean and Continuous Improvement leader to own and optimize value streams across contracts, planning, and remittance processes. You will coach teams, run lean events, and embed improvements in standard work.

This role focuses on metrics, problem solving, and sustaining gains in a matrix organization across multiple regions; fluency in English is assumed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience in power generation, energy, industrial services or related sectors.
• Experience in lean, continuous improvement, operations, or operational excellence roles.
• Experience facilitating lean tools and structured problem solving.
• Ability to influence in a matrix organization and deploy lean in complex environments.
• Coaches teams to improve operating discipline and sustain standard work.

Responsibilities

• Own the hour position for Contracts Managed, Planning, Demand Placement and Remittance value objects.
• Establish and maintain baselines and document derivations.
• Present hours positions at Sustainable Productivity reviews and reconcile realised hours.
• Lead Lean Events and structured problem solving activities.
• Coach process owners and teams using Kata and daily management.
• Support executive sponsors and author business problem statements.
• Participate in daily management and problem-solving routines.
• Ensure improvements are embedded in standard work and closed with worker validation.
• Run sustainment checks with process owners and sponsors.
• Escalate unresolved issues and drive corrective actions.
• Feed lessons back into the process base and influence future improvements.

Job description

• Own the hour position for Contracts Managed, Planning, Demand Placement and Remittance value objects
• Establish and maintain working hour baselines and ensure derivations are documented, agreed and revalidated
• Present hours positions at Sustainable Productivity approval reviews and reconcile realised hours
• Build command of complexity and growth models and help shape them with value object owners
• Maintain the accumulated process record in the QMS, including standard work, baseline derivations, root causes, improvements and agreements
• Contribute to value-object improvement plans owned by contracts and planning leadership
• Maintain relationships with value object owners and support issue resolution
• Contribute to monthly operating reviews and quarterly and annual planning cycles
• Lead Lean Events and problem-solving activities
• Coach process owners and teams using Kata, daily management and structured problem solving
• Support process owners or executive sponsors in authoring business problem statements
• Participate in daily management and problem-solving routines
• Ensure improvements are embedded in standard work and confirmed by workers before closure
• Run sustainment checks with process owners and executive sponsors
• Escalate unresolved support issues and stop work when necessary
• Run close-out reflections and feed lessons back into the process base

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college, or equivalent experience
• Significant experience in power generation, energy, industrial services, field services, or related sectors
• Significant experience in lean, continuous improvement, operations, services, manufacturing, or operational excellence roles
• Experience facilitating lean tools such as business process mapping, standard work, daily management, structured problem solving and action plans
• Ability to influence without direct authority in a matrix organization
• Experience deploying lean principles and operating systems in complex, matrixed business environments
• Ability to coach process owners and teams to improve operating discipline and sustain standard work
• Strong coaching mindset and ability to provide direct, constructive feedback and build sustainable capability
• Strong problem-solving, facilitation, and influencing skills
• Ability to work effectively across regions, functions, and organizational levels
• Fluency in English if located in Italy
• EU work permit if located in Italy
• Legal right to live and work in Hungary if located in Hungary
