Job summary

Trane Technologies is offering a multi-rotation Operations Leadership program across U.S. plants.

Complete four mandatory six-month rotations in Operations with an optional fifth, building capabilities in lean production, planning, quality, ergonomics and safety. Participants gain direct supervision experience, contribute to continuous improvement, SIOP, inventory optimization, and value stream mapping, and complete two plant moves.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in any Engineering discipline, Business with Supply Chain emphasis, or Supply Chain with GPA ≥3.0, completed before ADP start date.
  • Minimum of two leadership examples (clubs, sports, resident advisor, or project leadership).
  • At least one degree-related internship or six months related work experience.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing business circumstances.
  • Proactive in seeking new information, skills and experiences.
  • Ability to work with others to coordinate efforts and achieve results.
  • Motivation to grow a career while contributing to Trane Technologies' growth.

Responsibilities

  • Complete four mandatory six-month rotations in Operations with an optional fifth rotation.
  • Develop capabilities in lean production, process improvement, planning and execution, problem-solving, quality, ergonomics and safety.
  • Participate in Operational Excellence rotations focused on continuous improvement and lean methodologies.
  • Participate in Materials rotations focusing on production planning, inventory optimization, planning systems, and logistics.
  • Participate in Quality rotations focusing on process capability, supplier quality, and data-driven root cause analysis to reduce COPQ.
  • Gain supervisor experience managing operations, ergonomics, safety, and productivity on the manufacturing floor.
  • Build experience in SIOP, production line supervision, productivity tracking, and manufacturing engineering.
  • Complete rotations at selected manufacturing plants in the United States and two physical moves.
  • Contribute to continuous learning, broaden functional expertise, and accelerate personal and professional development.

Job description

  • Gain direct supervisor experience managing operations, ergonomics, safety, and productivity on the manufacturing floor during Plant Leadership/Supervision rotations
  • Build experience in SIOP, production line supervision, productivity tracking, quality, manufacturing engineering, and operational success
  • Complete rotations at selected manufacturing plants in the United States
  • Complete two physical moves during the program
  • Contribute to continuous learning, broaden functional expertise, and accelerate personal and professional development
Requirements
  • BS/BA in any Engineering discipline, Business with Supply Chain emphasis, or Supply Chain, with an overall GPA at or above 3.0, completed prior to ADP start date
  • Minimum of two demonstrated leadership examples, such as school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, or exceptional leadership of work projects
  • Minimum of one degree-related internship or six months of related work experience
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new or changing business circumstances
  • Eagerness and proactivity in seeking new information, skills, and experiences
  • Ability to work effectively with others to coordinate efforts and produce results in a positive work environment
  • Motivation to leverage key learnings and experiences to grow a career while contributing to Trane Technologies' growth
  • Proficient problem-solving skills, including defining and identifying underlying causes of complex operational issues
  • Ability to strategically evaluate alternative options and make informed decisions to achieve specific objectives or goals
  • Geographical flexibility during and after completion of the program
