Qualifications

• Post-acute experience preferred; new grads welcome.

$55-$60/hour | PRN

Stern Therapy Consultants is hiring a PRN Occupational Therapist at Autumn Lake at Glade Valley in Walkersville, MD. Help skilled nursing residents overcome challenges with everyday activities by combining clinical assessment, practical treatment, and education that supports progress beyond the therapy session.

What You'll Do

• Assess daily living skills, upper-extremity function, cognition, and activity tolerance to identify occupational therapy needs.
• Develop measurable goals that reflect residents' priorities, current abilities, and discharge plans.
• Provide individualized treatment for self-care, functional transfers, and participation in daily routines.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and teach residents and caregivers techniques for safer, more independent task completion.
• Reassess progress, adjust interventions, and supervise COTA services within the established plan of care.
• Complete timely clinical documentation and coordinate recommendations with nursing and the rehabilitation team.
