Job summary

Stern Therapy Consultants is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for PRN coverage at Autumn Lake at Braddock Heights in Frederick, MD. You will support skilled nursing residents by implementing the OT plan of care, focusing on daily living activities and safety during self-care tasks.

You will document progress, communicate with the supervising OT, and collaborate with nursing staff to ensure consistent, high-quality rehab sessions.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland OT license and COTA certification.
• Ability to follow treatment plans and respond attentively to residents' needs.
• Effective teamwork, communication, and clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete treatment notes and coordinate with nursing and rehab staff for consistency.

$35–$38/hour | PRN

Join Stern Therapy Consultants as a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at Autumn Lake at Braddock Heights. Help skilled nursing residents rebuild daily living skills through purposeful treatment, adapting each session to their abilities while following the supervising Occupational Therapist's plan of care.

What You'll Do

• Provide individualized OT interventions focused on residents' established rehabilitation goals.

• Guide self-care practice, including dressing, grooming, toileting, and bathing.

• Use prescribed functional activities to address upper-extremity strength, coordination, and activity tolerance.

• Reinforce strategies for conserving energy and using adaptive equipment during everyday tasks.

• Observe changes in participation and performance, keeping the supervising OT informed of progress and concerns.

• Maintain complete treatment notes and work with nursing and rehabilitation colleagues to support consistent care between sessions.

What We Offer
