Job summary

Terex/Genie is seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Engineer I focused on OT/MES to support plant-floor systems in Moses Lake, WA. You will aid in configuring equipment, collecting data, and improving uptime across production lines.

You’ll collaborate with controls, maintenance, and IT teams; work on PLC/HMI changes, process documentation, and small projects that move digital manufacturing forward while developing hands-on engineering experience in a global company.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrial automation concepts.
Basic understanding of PLCs, HMIs, machine safety, and instrumentation.
Interest in OT systems, MES platforms, data, and plant-floor integration.
Strong problem-solving and learning mindset in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate with operators, technicians, engineers, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Support plant-floor OT and MES systems used to monitor and improve manufacturing operations.
Assist with configuration and support of connected manufacturing equipment and production data systems.
Troubleshoot production issues involving PLCs, HMIs, networks, and device communications.
Collaborate with manufacturing, controls, maintenance, and IT to improve uptime and data accuracy.
Participate in installation and sequencing of machines, workstations, and supplies to optimize flow.
Maintain and improve PLC/HMI applications and OT devices in manufacturing.
Gather and analyze process data to support continuous improvement.
Support small projects on equipment connectivity and digital manufacturing improvements.
Create and maintain I/O lists, schematics, and process documentation.
