Job summary

ITC Infotech seeks an OT Specialist to own the data acquisition layer connecting shop floor equipment to plant and enterprise systems. You will design, implement, and sustain reliable, secure real-time data flows for MES, historian, analytics, and quality systems.

This hands-on engineering role also includes mentoring plant teams and setting OT standards across multiple sites, with travel to Knoxville, Elyria, and other central sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years in manufacturing or plant automation/OT infra.
• Experience configuring Ignition gateway, drivers, tags, scripting and HMI.
• Experience with a process historian; Canary Labs preferred.
• PLC programming on major platforms (Rockwell/Siemens).
• Strong knowledge of OPC UA/DA, MQTT, Sparkplug B, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET.
• Ability to select field instrumentation and edge hardware.
• Understanding of VLANs, routing, firewalls, and IT/OT segregation.
• Ability to read P&IDs and electrical/control schematics.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement shop floor to IT/OT communications.
• Develop OT standards and as-built documentation.
• Provide PLC programming and troubleshooting support.
• Collaborate with vendors on hardware/software requirements and FAT/SAT.
• Mentor maintenance staff and transfer knowledge.
