Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Manufacturing IT/MES Technical Support Engineer to solve application issues and deploy changes across MES systems from Normal, IL. The role reports to the MFG Systems Support Manager and requires collaboration with Process Engineers, tooling teams, and product teams to optimize line configurations and automate repetitive tasks.

Ideal candidates will have MES experience, troubleshooting skills, and strong communication abilities to support factory operations and drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Manufacturing, or equivalent.
• 1+ years experience with Manufacturing IT systems.
• Familiar with MES apps like FTPC, Kepware, Ignition.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as escalation point for MES incidents to minimize downtime.
• Apply configuration changes and line changes to improve efficiency.
• Partner with plant commissioning teams to launch systems.
• Update documentation reflecting changes.
• Collaborate with Product and Process Engineers on line configuration.
• Work with security, networking, and tooling to restore service.
