Job summary

Olde Main Post Acute and Healthcare Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team. The OTA will implement treatment plans under supervision, assist with evaluations, and guide residents in daily living activities to maximize independence.

Qualifications include an accredited OTA program, active state license, CPR certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Assistant program accredited by the AOTA.
• Current OTA license in the practicing state is required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under supervision of a licensed OTA.
• Assist with resident evaluations and progress reporting.
• Guide residents through therapeutic activities to improve independence.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nursing staff and other team members.
• Modify interventions based on progress and physician orders.
• Educate residents and families on goals, home programs and adaptive equipment.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate progress.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and care planning.
