Job summary

Olde Main Post Acute and Healthcare Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team in a full-time role in Philadelphia. You will implement therapy plans under the supervision of an OT and work with a multidisciplinary team to help residents regain independence.

Qualifications include graduating from an accredited OTA program, an active OTA license in the state, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an OTA program accredited by AOTA/AMA.
  • Minimum of one year of OTA experience preferred.
  • Current OTA license in the practicing state required.
  • Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

Full-Time Opportunity Available!

Hourly Range: $30.00 – $40.00/hr (all inclusive)

Guided by our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence, the Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic interventions that help residents achieve their highest level of function.

Responsibilities for Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA):

  • Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Assist with resident evaluations and ongoing assessments, reporting progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Guide residents through therapeutic, self-care, and functional activities to improve independence and daily living skills.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nursing staff, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care.
  • Modify treatment interventions in collaboration with the supervising Occupational Therapist based on resident progress and physician orders.
  • Educate residents and families on treatment goals, home programs, and the use of adaptive equipment.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate resident progress to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, care planning, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications for Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA):

  • Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Assistant program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the American Medical Association (AMA).
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a practicing Occupational Therapist Assistant in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Current Occupational Therapist Assistant license in the state of practice required.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
