Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant at St. Anne Hospital in Toledo, OH to provide patient treatment under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist and contribute to the continuum of care for diverse patient groups.

You will document progress, support family education, and collaborate with the health team while maintaining accurate EHR records and participating in the ongoing development of treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state of current practice.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred upon hire; required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH.
• Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides age-appropriate therapeutic interventions as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Maintains accurate and concise records on treatment and patient progress.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment and progress.
• Collaborates with OT and other health team members for planning and coordinating treatment.
• Assists in assessment of daily living skills to determine abilities and limitations.
• Designs and adapts equipment for home and work environments.
