Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed OT. You will document progress, implement treatment programs, and educate patients and families across inpatients, outpatients, pediatrics and off-site locations.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state of current practice (required).
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred upon hire; required within 30 days for some locations.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient treatment under supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Document treatment and progress toward goals in the electronic health record.
• Implement established programs and educate patients and families.
• Collaborate with health team to plan, modify and coordinate treatment.
• Assess daily living skills and adapt equipment as needed.
