Job summary

Mercy Health Perrysburg Medical Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide patient treatment under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. You will document patient progress in the electronic health record and implement established treatment programs across inpatients, outpatients, pediatrics and other sites.

Collaborating with the OT and health team, you will assess daily living skills, adapt equipment, and support planning and coordination of care.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state of current practice.
• Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) preferred.
• BLS certification preferred; required within 30 days for some sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate therapeutic interventions under supervision.
• Maintain accurate treatment records and progress notes.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment.
• Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist and health team to plan and modify treatment.
• Assist in assessment of daily living skills and capabilities to determine extent of abilities and limitations.
• Design and adapt equipment in working/living environments.
