Job summary

Mercy Health seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support Springfield Regional Medical Center's patient-care team. You will provide treatment under OT supervision, document progress, and educate patients and families across diverse settings.

Responsibilities include initiating age-appropriate therapies, recording outcomes, coordinating with therapists and staff, and assisting in adaptive equipment design for daily living activities.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in current practice location.
• BLS Basic Life Support may be required within 30 days for some sites.
• Preferred certification as a COTA where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provides age-appropriate therapeutic interventions as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Maintains accurate and concise treatment records and patient progress.
• Observes patient responses and reports to the Occupational Therapist.
• Collaborates with the OT and health team to plan and coordinate treatment.
• Assists in assessing daily living skills to determine abilities and limitations.
• Designs and adapts equipment for home/work environments.
