Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support the occupational therapy team at St. Charles Hospital. You will document patient treatment progress and assist with education for patients and families, spanning inpatients, outpatients and pediatrics as needed.

You will work under a licensed Occupational Therapist, collaborating with a health care team to implement treatment plans and adapt equipment to improve daily living activities for diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• Provides age-appropriate therapeutic interventions as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Maintains records of treatment and progress.
• Communicates patient responses to the Therapist and team.
• Collaborates with health team to coordinate treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Age-appropriate therapeutic interventions as directed by the Occupational Therapist.

• Observe and report patient responses and progress to the Occupational Therapist.
• Collaborate with the therapy team to coordinate care.
• Assist in assessing daily living skills to determine abilities and limitations.
