Job summary

TheraDynamics, a therapist-owned rehabilitation company serving the Tri-State area, is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant for SNF settings. You will support OTs as they help patients regain independence and discharge safely home.

Design creative, functional interventions for ADLs, cognitive retraining, upper-extremity rehab, and home safety, collaborating with nursing, PT, SLP and social work. Flexible scheduling and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current New York State OTA license or eligibility.
• NBCOT certification (or eligible).
• Passion for helping patients regain independence.
• Strong clinical reasoning and creative problem-solving skills.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist Occupational Therapist in procedures, tests and complex treatments to ensure safe evaluation and treatment.
• Develop individualized treatment plans focused on functional independence.
• Collaborate with nursing, PT, SLP, and social work for coordinated patient care.
• Address self-care skills, cognitive and perceptual deficits, home safety, adaptive equipment needs, and caregiver training.
• Apply clinical reasoning with realistic productivity expectations.
