Job summary

TheraDynamics, a therapist-owned rehabilitation company, seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist Assistant for SNF settings in New York. You will design interventions addressing ADLs, cognitive retraining, upper extremity rehabilitation, and safe discharge planning to support independence and home re-entry.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current or eligible for New York State OTA license.
• NBCOT certification (or eligible).
• Passion for helping patients regain independence.
• Strong clinical reasoning and creative problem-solving skills.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist Occupational Therapist in procedures and treatments to ensure safe evaluation and treatment.
• Develop individualized treatment plans focused on functional independence.
• Collaborate with nursing, PT, SLP, and social work to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Address self-care skills, cognitive and perceptual deficits, home safety, adaptive equipment needs, and caregiver training.
