Job summary

TheraDynamics is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant to restore independence in SNF settings. You will design and implement interventions to improve ADLs, cognitive function, and safe discharge planning, working with a multidisciplinary team in a therapist-owned practice.

Applicants should hold an OTA associate degree, be NY-licensed or eligible, and pursue NBCOT certification. New grads are welcome to apply, with flexible scheduling and mentorship offered.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Current or eligible for New York State OTA license.
• NBCOT certification (or eligible).
• Passion for helping patients regain independence.
• Strong clinical reasoning and creative problem-solving skills.
• New graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist Occupational Therapist in procedures and treatments with safe evaluation and care.
• Develop individualized treatment plans focused on functional independence.
• Collaborate with nursing, PT, SLP and social work for coordinated care.
• Address self-care skills, cognitive and perceptual deficits, home safety and caregiver training.
• Value clinical reasoning; maintain realistic productivity goals.
