The position requires 1+ year of utility construction experience and 6+ months of equipment operation (drill, hydro, mini, bucket truck). CDL and OSHA 10 are preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of utility construction experience required.
• 6+ months of equipment operating experience (drill, hydro, mini, bucket truck) required.
• Valid driver’s license; Class A CDL strongly preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required; OSHA 10 preferred (obtainable within 6 months).
• Competent Person certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs general manual strenuous labor in all weather conditions, including digging, installing utilities, moving material, inspecting ground conditions, and traffic control.
• Supports crew with jobsite setup and closeout tasks, including loading/unloading trucks, taking photos, and setting up cones and signs.
• Independently operates one or more heavy equipment types with limited guidance from an experienced operator.
• Reads prints and construction drawings accurately.
• Safety is a priority; participates in pre-task and safety assessments and training.
