Job summary

Mountain Ltd. in Yakima, WA is seeking an OSP Inspector to ensure underground, buried, and aerial facilities meet current standards through inspections and corrective work by contractors.

The role requires documenting inspections electronically, communicating via email and phone, and occasionally using printed spreadsheets for manual audits. Familiarity with GPS/mapping tools is preferred and travel on short notice may be needed.

Qualifications

• Experience performing NESC inspections or experience working on an aerial cable line crew.
• Experience performing wooden pole ground line inspections.
• Proficient in OSP Construction Standards.
• Familiar with the National Electric Safety Code.
• Computer skills: Windows XP, Excel, Outlook.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Contractor management experience.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel on short notice.

Responsibilities

The OSP Inspectorwill be responsible to ensure that all the clients underground, buried and aerial plant facilities meet the current standards through inspections, and corrections work performed by contractors. The Inspector will document all inspections, audits, and pole transfers electronically, and be expected to communicate via email, and cellular phone. At times it may be necessary to perform inspections, audits, and transfers manually by the use of printed spreadsheets. Familiarity in using mapping/GPS technology.

Qualifications

• Previous experience performing NESC inspections or experience working on an aerial cable line crew
• Previous experience performing wooden pole ground line inspections.
• Must be proficient in OSP Construction Standards
• Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code.
• Computer experience:
• Microsoft Windows XP, Excel and Outlook
• Familiar and comfortable with internet usage, and web page browsing.
• Good communication skills.
• Personal time management and organization skills.
• Construction contractor management skills.

Pay: $32 hour, commensurate with experience
