Job summary

Mountain Ltd. has an opening for an OSP Inspector in the Missoula, MT area. The Inspector will ensure that client underground, buried, and aerial plant facilities meet standards through inspections and corrections by contractors.

They will document inspections, audits, and pole transfers electronically and communicate by email and cellular phone, with occasional manual work using printed spreadsheets. Familiarity with mapping/GPS technology is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience performing NESC inspections or on an aerial cable line crew.
• Experience with wooden pole ground line inspections.
• Proficient in OSP Construction Standards.
• Familiar with the National Electric Safety Code.
• Computer skills: Windows XP, Excel, Outlook.
• Strong communication skills.
• Time management and organization skills.
• Construction contractor management skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Inspect underground, buried, and aerial plant facilities to ensure standards are met.

The OSP Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all the client’s underground, buried, and aerial plant facilities meet the current standards through inspections and corrections work performed by contractors. The Inspector will document all inspections, audits, and pole transfers electronically, and be expected to communicate via email and cellular phone. At times, it may be necessary to perform inspections, audits, and transfers manually using printed spreadsheets. Familiarity with using mapping/GPS technology.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience performing NESC inspections or experience working on an aerial cable line crew
• Previous experience performing wooden pole ground line inspections.
• Must be proficient in OSP Construction Standards
• Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code.
• Computer experience:
• Microsoft Windows XP, Excel and Outlook
• Familiar and comfortable with internet usage, and web page browsing.
• Good communication skills.
• Personal time management and organization skills.
• Construction contractor management skills.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel on short notice.
