Job summary

Mountain Ltd. seeks an OSP Construction Inspector in the Bellingham area to ensure underground, buried, and aerial facilities meet standards through inspections and contractor corrections.

Responsibilities include electronic documentation of inspections and pole transfers, communication via email/cell, and occasional manual inspections using printed spreadsheets with GPS mapping familiarity.

Qualifications

• Familiar with NESC inspections or experience on aerial line crews.
• Experience performing wooden pole ground line inspections.
• Proficient in OSP Construction Standards.
• Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code.
• Computer basics: Windows XP, Excel and Outlook.
• Good communication skills and strong time management.
• Construction contractor management skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel on short notice.

Job Description

The OSP Inspectorwill be responsible to ensure that all the client’s underground, buried and aerial plant facilities meet the current standards through inspections, and corrections work performed by contractors. The Inspector will document all inspections, audits, and pole transfers electronically, and be expected to communicate via email, and cellular phone. At times it may be necessary to perform inspections, audits, and transfers manually by the use of printed spreadsheets. Familiarity in using mapping/GPS technology.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience performing NESC inspections or experience working on an aerial cable line crew
• Previous experience performing wooden pole ground line inspections.
• Must be proficient in OSP Construction Standards
• Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code.
• Computer experience:
• Microsoft Windows XP, Exceland Outlook
• Familiar and comfortable with internet usage, and web page browsing.
• Good communication skills.
• Personal time management and organization skills.
• Construction contractor management skills.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to travelon short notice.

Pay: $32 hour, commensurate with experience
