Job summary

Mountain, Ltd. has an opening for an OSP Inspector in the McCall, ID area. The Inspector will ensure that all underground, buried and aerial plant facilities meet current standards through inspections and corrections performed by contractors.

Responsibilities include documenting inspections, audits, and pole transfers electronically, and communicating via email and phone. Familiarity with mapping/GPS technology is preferred; occasional manual work with spreadsheets may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with NESC inspections or aerial line crews.
• Experience with wooden pole ground line inspections.
• Proficient in OSP Construction Standards.
• Familiar with the National Electric Safety Code.
• Computer: Windows XP, Excel, Outlook.
• Familiar with internet usage and web browsing.
• Strong communication skills.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Construction contractor management experience.
• Valid driver’s license and travel on short notice.

Job Description:

The OSP Inspector will be responsible to ensure that all the client’s underground, buried and aerial plant facilities meet the current standards through inspections, and corrections work performed by contractors. The Inspector will document all inspections, audits, and pole transfers electronically, and be expected to communicate via email, and cellular phone. At times it may be necessary to perform inspections, audits, and transfers manually by the use of printed spreadsheets. Familiarity in using mapping/GPS technology.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience performing NESC inspections or experience working on an aerial cable line crew
• Previous experience performing wooden pole ground line inspections.
• Must be proficient in OSP Construction Standards
• Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code.
• Computer experience: Microsoft Windows XP, Excel and Outlook.
• Computer experience: Familiar and comfortable with internet usage, and web page browsing.
• Good communication skills.
• Personal time management and organization skills.
• Construction contractor management skills.
