Job summary

Mountain Ltd. has an opening for an OSP Inspector in the Ellensburg, WA area. The Inspector will ensure that all underground, buried, and aerial facilities meet current standards through inspections and corrections performed by contractors.

The Inspector will document all inspections, audits, and pole transfers electronically, and be expected to communicate via email and cellular phone. At times it may be necessary to perform inspections, audits, and transfers manually by the use of printed

Qualifications

• Experience with NESC inspections is required.
• Experience on aerial cable line crews is preferred.
• Proficient in OSP Construction Standards.
• Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC).
• Proficient with Windows, Excel and Outlook; comfortable with internet usage.

Responsibilities

• Inspect underground, buried and aerial facilities to ensure compliance with standards.
• Document inspections, audits and pole transfers electronically.
• Communicate via email and cell; may use printed spreadsheets for manual work.
• Familiar with mapping/GPS technology.
• Travel with a valid driver’s license and be available on short notice.

Job Description:

The OSP Inspectorwill be responsible to ensure that all the client’s underground, buried and aerial plant facilities meet the current standards through inspections, and corrections work performed by contractors. The Inspector will document all inspections, audits, and pole transfers electronically, and be expected to communicate via email, and cellular phone. At times it may be necessary to perform inspections, audits, and transfers manually by the use of printed spreadsheets. Familiarity in using mapping/GPS technology.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience performing NESC inspections or experience working on an aerial cable line crew
• Previous experience performing wooden pole ground line inspections.
• Must be proficient in OSP Construction Standards
• Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code.
• Computer experience:
  • Microsoft Windows XP, Excel and Outlook
  • Familiar and comfortable with internet usage, and web page browsing.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Personal time management and organization skills.
  • Construction contractor management skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel on short notice.

Pay:

Pay: $32/hour, commensurate with experience
